Listed on the WSE, MDI Energia SA has become the general contractor of the contract for solar farms, which will be implemented for R. Power. The contract covers the construction of 12 PV farms with a unit capacity of up to 1 MWp, located all over Poland.
The signed contract is another collaboration between R. Power and MDI Energia. Earlier, in July this year, the companies announced the signing of contracts for the construction of 9 photovoltaic power plants. All projects will use double-sided monocrystalline modules.
- Currently, we are dealing with the most dynamic development of the renewable energy sector in the history of Poland, especially photovoltaics. The auction system introduced in 2015 plays a very important role in it. Thanks to him, our country is one of the fastest growing markets in Europe. As R. Power, we have a significant share in this. We are currently implementing 174 projects with a capacity of 168 MWp, cooperating with the best contractors for PV farms in Poland - says Przemysław Pięta, president and co-founder of R. Power.
This year, R. Power has contracted the construction of almost 200 PV farms. The Warsaw developer has also signed contracts with Electrum for the construction of 28 photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 27 MWp, with Nomad Electric for the construction of 35 photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 33.6 MWp, and with Solartech, which will build 31 PV farms for R. Power, each with a maximum capacity of 1 MWp.
In June this year, R. Power announced a transaction under which the Scottish fund Aberdeen Standard Investments will take over 100 percent shares in a 122 MWp contract for terrestrial photovoltaic farms, implemented by R.Power in the "turnkey" formula.
R.Power is one of the largest companies in the photovoltaic sector in Poland, which in recent years has won auctions with projects for a total capacity of almost 300 MWp. Only in Poland, the company is developing a portfolio of photovoltaic farms with a capacity of over 2 GWp, and outside our country, R. Power also develops projects in Portugal, Italy, and Spain.
MDI Energia SA has been operating in the renewable energy sector for 20 years. The company has a network of 12 branches throughout Poland. So far, it has completed "turnkey" wind farms, biogas plants and photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of over 450 MW.
